The Latex Course
Planning is underway for The Latex Course™ 2012. The location and dates for our 19th offering of this popular course will be announced soon. Stay tuned for details.
Topics covered in The Latex Course™ typically include polystyrene "latex" microsphere applications, such as latex agglutination tests and assays, as well as newer applications of "latex" and larger beads, such as high-throughput screening, flow cytometry, multiplex bead assays, and immunochromatographic rapid tests, plus fluorescent and superparamagnetic bead applications.
Course Overview
The course examines the basics of microsphere (latex) and magnetic particle-based diagnostic test development from research and development through manufacturing and production control. This broadly applicable technology is used in human healthcare screening tests and assays, veterinary and agricultural tests, assaying for toxic chemicals in foods, water, and the general environment, high throughput screening (HTS) in pharmaceutical research, flow cytometry, and molecular biology. The Latex Course™ provides a solid information base for those involved in this rapidly growing and evolving technology.
Participants will not only be treated to a wealth of information at a first-rate venue, but also a copy of the Course handbook, the Sunday evening informal reception, and meals throughout the course.
