Bangs Laboratories Provides Fluorescent Microspheres for Use in Confocal Microscopy Applications
August 2000, Fishers, IN -- Bangs Laboratories supplies single-label fluorescent microspheres for use as confocal microscopy standards. Primary applications include spatial resolution determination, mis-alignment detection, and Z-axis registration. Sold at 1% solids (by weight), these polystyrene microspheres possess optimum characteristics for use as confocal microscopy standards including internalized dye for brightness and longer shelf life. The ideal mean diameter of 0.063 mm and narrow size distribution allow for optimum imaging conditions. These beads are offered with various fluorescent labels that correspond to standard filter sets in the blue, yellow, and red wavelengths. Fluorescence spectra are available for each product.
