May 2010 - Bangs Laboratories proudly introduces the newest addition to our magnetic product offerings - ProMag™ Bind-IT™. ProMag™ Bind-IT™ are 3µm polymer-based magnetic microspheres with a revolutionary pre-activated surface that allows ready binding of antibody without sacrificing stability. A simple incubation of beads and protein results in high and stable binding. And what's more, the novel Bind-IT™ chemistry is designed to immobilize antibody in a manner that preserves tertiary structure for optimal activity.

May 2010 - Though Bangs has long offered a variety of microsphere binding standards for mouse, rat, and human monoclonals, we have neglected their hard-working cousings, the secondary antibodies. Well, no more. Bangs is proud to introduce the Flow Cytometry Protein A and Protein G Antibody Binding Beads.

April 2010 - Bangs Laboratories is truly thrilled to announce the addition of the Alexa Fluor® 488 and Alexa Fluor® 647 Quantum™ MESF Kits and Reference Standards to our extensive line of flow cytometry products. Alexa Fluor® dyes offer intense fluorescence and excellent photostability, which is why they are used to label all sorts of things (antibodies, peptides, oligos) that investigators like to stick to cells or microspheres.

April 2010 - Bangs Laboratories will be presenting the 18th offering of our popular international course, "Designing Microsphere-Based Tests and Assays" at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from October 3 -5, 2010.

November 2009 - Bangs Laboratories is thrilled to announce the addition of the Quantum™ FITC-5 MESF Kit to our product offerings! Quantum™ MESF kits for quantitative expression analysis consists of one blank bead population and a number of fluorescent bead populations surface labeled with increasing amounts of fluorochrome, either FITC, R-PE, PE-Cy™5, or APC.

June 2009 - Bangs Laboratories is proud to announce our newest binding standards for rat primary antibodies. Our new Simply Cellular® anti-Rat product is a single population of microspheres coated with anti-Rat IgG (Fc specific) antibody for labeling with fluorescent monoclonal rat antibodies. It may be used in conjunction with a suitable Quantum™ MESF kit for determination of the antibody's fluorophore labeling density (effective fluorophore/protein [F/P] ratio) or used to QC the fluorescence intensity of different antibody lots or clones.

February 2009 - To complement our new Bangs  Bead Solutions, Bangs is pleased to now offer the Bangs Bead Coupling Buffers as well. Bangs Bead Coupling Buffers are ready-to-use buffers that are available in a variety of pH levels (4.5 to 9.0). They can be used as coupling or wash buffers for plain, dyed, or functionalized polymer microspheres. Our new Storage Buffers are also available in two pH levels: 7.4 and 8.5 Don't delay; try our new buffers today!

The Bangs Bead Solution is a ready-to-use aqueous suspending solution for dilution or storage of uncoated plain, dyed, or functionalized polymer microspheres. January 2009 - Bangs is celebrating the new year in grand fashion!  We are delighted to introduce a new Intensity Standard incorporating our Flash Red fluorophore. Akin to our ever-popular Dragon Green Intensity Standard, this kit consists of ~8µm polystyrene microspheres dyed with increasing amounts of Flash Red.

July 2008 - Bangs Laboratories is pleased to announce our newest fluorophore, Far-Out Red. Far-Out Red is a brilliant far-red fluorophore boasting red excitation and red / far-red (APC, APC-Cy™7) emission. Far-Out Red beads may be used as relative fluorescence intensity standards, incorporated into comprehensive programs for instrument standardization and QC, or whatever else you can dream up.
